Homemade Halloween

Happy Halloween and Happy Birthday to Molly Jo, the best sister in the world!!

There is something so special about homemade holiday traditions... from what we bake, to our decorations, and of course on Halloween - THE COSTUMES! Growing up my mom always helped my sister and I make Halloween costumes.  Some of the pictures are embarrassing, but they make for the best memories! We made some other great costumes that I couldn't find pictures of like a scarecrow, a magician (complete with a stuffed rabbit that could be pulled from the top hat!), and a bag of popcorn. I hope to continue this homemade costume tradition with our children.

Baby Shower

Lindsey's due date is only ten days after mine and she is having a little girl too, so Coley threw us a combined baby shower last night. Coley had her house decorated so cute - light pink & 'vintagey'. Here is the beautiful dessert table:

My First Decoupage

I have a hard time sitting and watching tv without doing something. The other night while watching Project Runway, which always makes me want to create something, I started hacking up an old Anthropologie catalog to decoupage onto a 10x10 canvas.
