Summer in the Mitten

Oh how I missed Michigan.  Ivy and I were able to spend 2 1/2 weeks in the U.P. with friends and family.  There is nothing quite like a northern Michigan summer.  Kid Rock did write a whole song about it...  "Splashing through the sand bar, talking by the campfire, It's the simple things in life like when and where... Catching Walleye from the dock, Watching the waves roll off the rocks shall forever hold a spot inside my soul."

'Whoh oh oh oh Sweet Child of Mine'

My best friend Kayce got to visit unexpectedly from New York!
She found one of the "Secret Notebooks" we kept when we were younger.
We had so much fun staying in the screen house on the beach and going through it!

  1. Wow- looks like a really amazing trip. So glad you got to see all of your friends and family and get out of the AZ summer heat. Now, you just gotta work on the "ma-ma!" :)
